A unique one day event designed for Architects to discuss and share ideas on the experiences and challenges of architecture in Australia.

This year we are running a number of Open Space sessions at the Australian Architecture Forum and we want you to submit your ideas for sessions. The question that we want to answer is ‘How can architecture make a difference?’ within each of the Forum’s track themes: Green IT, Cloud Computing and General Architecture.
Open Space Technology (OST) is a very different way of running meetings. Rather than having a set agenda and presenters speaking to an audience, Open Space is self-organising. This means that everyone who attends is invited to put forwards the topic they want to see discussed. The discussions take place in an open format that encourages involvement from everyone on an equal footing regardless of position in the organisation and personal style. People can move around and take part in whatever discussions they want and discussions are not fixed in time.
OST tends to provide better outcomes for all meetings but is particularly well suited to those meetings where attendees have something to offer rather than sitting and listening to a speaker.
So don’t sit around, submit your session topics ideas to aaf@objectconsulting.com.au!

While Cloud and Green IT trends emerge as the likely top candidates of the enterprise IT agenda for the next decade, best-practice architecture remains a priority for all enterprise solutions. The third annual Australian Architecture Forum will be dedicated to cloud computing, green IT and general architecture.
We are inviting potential speakers to submit abstracts for the event. If you are interested in being considered for a speaking slot, within the Forum’s themes, please submit:
- An abstract of no more than 3 paragraphs
- A short biography
- A list of previous presentations and papers.
We look forward to receiving an abstract for consideration by the AAF Content Review Committee! Please email your submission to aaf@objectconsulting.com.au. A decision on speakers will be made by 21 July.

The emphasis of the forum is on shared experience, networking with your counterparts, and engaging directly with experts from a broad range of architectural backgrounds. We have decided to run a blog this year to kick off the discussions around the forum themes:
- Green IT
- Cloud computing
- General architecture.
We’ll be inviting some of Australia’s top architects to post on the blog and invite you to join in the discussions!
Registration
Registration for the AAF is now open. Early Bird ends 15th July - don’t miss out!
Looking forward to seeing you at the event!
